Our Detailed Review of This Card

You must submit your claim before the check-in date, and be sure to check your card details because some restrictions apply. Cardholders will have access to free 2-day shipping and returns through the ShopRunner service. This benefit includes over merchants and brands, which you can easily browse. Cardholders have the opportunity to apply for a loan through American Express but only if they have been pre-approved.

You can see from the table that the costs and fees of these cards are almost completely identical. Just remember the high penalty APR, which could be implemented if you make a late or returned payment. Since there is no annual fee for the Blue Cash Everyday, the cash back you earn will be all profit as long as you avoid accruing interest. With the Blue Cash Preferred, if you earn enough cash back to offset the annual fee as described above, any more you earn will be all profit as long as you avoid interest.

The Blue Cash cards from American Express are some of the most rewarding cards on the market. Since these cards have identical benefits and nearly identical fees, the major deciding points are the amounts of cash back they provide and the annual fee. The application process for each card will be through American Express, who will usually check your Experian credit report. The Everyday version is meant for people with good credit, while the Preferred version is designed for people with excellent credit.

The Blue Cash cards, and especially the Blue Cash Preferred, are both designed to be your primary grocery and gas cards. Since the Double Cash card is versatile and the Blue Cash cards are specialized, a great credit card strategy would be to actually use the Double Cash along with one of the Blue Cash cards.

Just use the Blue Cash card whenever you buy groceries, gas, or shop at department stores, and use the Double Cash card everywhere else. The extra benefits provided by both the Blue Cash cards and the Double Cash card will be pretty comparable for the most part, though the Amex cards will have the better set thanks to their Amex Offers.

The great thing about the Discover it is that Discover will double the cash back you earn after your first year with the card. It might seem difficult to compare this card, with rotating rewards, to the Blue Cash cards. Instead of just using one or the other, consider using both the Discover it and one of the Blue Cash cards. If you spend more on groceries the Blue Cash Everyday would be more rewarding overall, and if you spend more on gas the BankAmericard would be more rewarding overall.

But when you compare the BankAmericard to the Blue Cash Preferred, you can see that the Preferred easily comes out on top. Do you use one of these cards? How do you like it? Whether you can't afford your taxes or want to earn extra rewards, you're wondering "Can I pay my taxes with a credit card?

You can be earning points, free flights, and even a companion ticket if you make good use of Delta credit cards. Learn which of the four is best for you. We promise never to sell, rent, or otherwise solicit your personal information, ever.

Credit score ranges can be roughly equated to levels of credit, from Bad to Excellent: Terms and limitations apply.

Cash back is received in the form of Reward Dollars that can be redeemed as a statement credit. For any membership rewards junkies out there, Amex offers the widest array of rewards that I have ever seen -- from gift cards to travel rewards to "ShopAmex" there is definitely something for everyone.

And with that rate being good for a solid year, why not take advantage of it? Well, it's been well over a year now, and I still have this card, though I'm not sure why. It rarely, if ever, gets used. Most day to day purchases that I need to use a credit card for go onto my Discover Card. So I'm not really clear on why exactly I haven't closed this account out yet.

There are some positives, though. For one, AMEX offers a points based rewards program. While this means nothing to me now, I was able to get some nice rewards based on the large purchases I put onto it, and letting the points accumulate. I'm a free gift card junkie, and AMEX has a large number of partnerships with merchants.

They also have a nice partnership with TicketMaster, meaning you can cash in some or all of your points towards the cost of tickets to sports events, concerts, or theatre events. I always thought an annual fee was ridiculous. So let me get this straight, I have to pay you for the priviledge of being able to use your card? But with no annual fee, and the non existant introductory rate, it was a very appealing card that would fit a specific purpose quite well. AMEX offers you a variety of ways to access your account, aside from the monthly mailed statement.

You can access your account online, and can even get detailed information over the phone. I found all of this to be very convenient, especially when I got locked out of my online access and had to depend on the phone information to stay up to date.

I even called American Express to see if they could do any better, but I got a "sorry, we can't, thanks for calling" response. That is, when they actually bothered to respond.

The wait times whenever I've called have been atrocious, anywhere from 10 minutes to a half an hour. Someone over there needs to hire some call center reps, and pronto! Blue is nothing special. If you see a nice introductory offer the way I did, it's well worth it. Otherwise, not much separates it from the rest of the credit card pack. I love my American Express Blue Cash everyday card.

With no annual fee and points earned from my purchases, it's my card I use all the time. I apply my points towards my purchases. So far I've saved hundreds of dollars with my points. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful? See all my reviews. I have used several different credit card companies in the last few years and one of the most pleasently surprising of these companies has been American Express.

The Blue Cash Everyday credit card is just that. It is good for everyday use. I don't use mine as often as I used to, am actually in the process of trying to pay it off. However when I was using it as my main card it was great as an everyday card. The interest rates make using this as your main credit card easy and Affordable. And paired with American Express and there solid company, it's good if you are a heavy user.

The customer service is good, I haven't actually had that many issues with this card and I think the only time I have had to contact customer service was when I wanted to pay my bill by phone. I don't think I would recommend this card for a sometimes or emergency user, but it would be the perfect card for someone who is a heavy user or makes a lot of larger credit purchases.

I think it is a nice card to have. It is cool looking but that isn't typically a reason I would ever get a credit card for.

It does have an awesome 90 day protection plan on purchases. I've never had to use it but it's nice to know that if I would like to make a large purchase for something that can be easily broken, I have this option. There is no annual fee on this card.
